Okay folks! So I tried my darndest to get a job but things did not work out. I spent over 2 weeks in Wellington and I have seriously loved it BUT it's an expensive town. So time to move on to the next opportunity. I have a job interview in Franz Josef and it's the first serious interview I've been offered so I'm going to go. If I don't get the job then I will figure it out from there. That being said, Wellington is wonderful. It's like a little San Francisco. There is so much to do and see. BUT being here alone has been weird. Too much alone time is not fun, in fact it's pretty boring. I visited a ton of art galleries and went to the movies just to mix it up between smothering the central business district with resumes. I mingled with a bunch of different people, everyone from old Crash Palace friends to a creepy old dude. It's been an interesting couple of weeks.

My roommate from the prison is in Wellington and one night he broke down the sounds from my name and translated them into Chinese. Erin translates to Dusty Tree King and McMahon translates to Wheat Overcomes Horse Wave. Knowledge!
I spent A LOT of time going to free art exhibits!!! Luckily there was a lot to see!
Creamy Psychology
This will not go vertical so enjoy the sideways-hotness
I found a random Dr.Seuss exhibit!!!
Wellington had all the global premieres for the Lord of the Rings films, so it's hard to miss the constant middle earth paraphernalia. There is a costume scavenger hunt all over the city. You have to walk through hotels and department stores to find glass display cases that hold different characters' costumes. I've posted pictures of my favorite 3 costumes.
LEGOLAS!!
Gandalf!
Bilbo from the Hobbit
This Marae is my favorite part of Te Papa. It was crafted by a Maori tribe and gifted to New Zealand. It is so breathtaking to look at and expertly crafted. Nothing but respect for this cultural marvel.
I am ridiculously proud of this t-shirt! It looks like it could be a UNR shirt but really it says NZ. It's the definition of NVtoNZ!!! BUT it's kinda dorky to wear a NZ shirt in NZ so I'm mailing it home along with more clothes that I don't need anymore. My backpack was getting out of control so it was time to trim the fat. (Also I finally bought a travel blow dryer and straightener!! Beyond happy to have manageable hair again!!!!)
I have some truly wonderful roomies! Meet Frankie and Nicole!
Love all the pics... fair warning the pic that is your name translated is like 15times as big as the others... BUT I loved the pics and your hair looks great in the pic where you are wearing the NZ shirt... not that that was the second thing I noticed (first being the shirt). You are awesome!!!
