Since I've been in NZ I've slept in countless hostels, 2 garages, a boat, and now a prison cell. If you know me at all you know that I am a paranoid scaredy-cat. So living on death row seemed to be the biggest challenge when coming to the prison. Turns out the work has been the most challenging. Being the receptionist for the prison is easy but on the side I'm supposed to be editing audio for the owners audiotour company. The company is called Citywalksz (yep that's an S and a Z). I've decided I don't like that she is exploiting backpackers to create products for her company so I will not be staying at the prison as long as I originally planned. It's hard to give up a room to myself, amazingly fast wifi, and the beach is just a 5 minute walk away. But I will stay for Christmas and then I really don't have any plans. I would REALLY like a job that actually pays me so that is the next serious adventure.
You sleep across the hall from the murder room? So where to next?
ReplyDeleteI have no idea. Rotorua for New Years Eve, then Tongariro Crossing and then Wellington maybe :)
